"Where to begin...I started a claim back in early August. I was told with the passing of my agent Dave Noel and the many claims State Farm was trying to process that could be awhile. After several weeks and many messages from myself and the contractor I was finally issued a new agent, Peter Dumas. Peter called me on a Monday night at 6:30pm to let me know I was not forgotten and what he was going to do to get things moving on my claim. Peter did just that!! After 2 months my claim has been approved and my roof will see some attention in the following weeks. Peter has checked in several times since our initial conversation and updated me on the progress. "Our life-long (literally) State Farm agent Dave Noel passed away over the summer. We were told that all of our many accounts would be transferred to a new agent on 9/1. We were a little put off by not being asked, but rather "told" who our new agent was … but we quickly got over that. We reached out to Mr. Dumas by email and asked for a review of all of our policies and followed that up with a teleconference lasting almost an hour. Mr. Dumas found multiple errors across several of our policies and committed to getting all of them straightened out as soon as he was able to confirm some details with underwriting. 2 business days later I received a follow-up call from him which reviewed the 8 separate items he had worked on. Anymore, it seems like we are constantly being forced to settle for average service (and told to be happy about that). Mr. Dumas is clearly the exception to that rule!
